BIG WHITE LIES, 2019

2-channel HD video loop installation, 2'24", color, sound.

The video installation is motivated by a critical examination of the social, political, and ecological paradigms of a white post-colonial society, based on inequalities, stratagems of induced power, and unsustainable use of environmental resources. The video depicts a three-dimensional structure, in which moving images and repetitive sounds surround the viewer, creating a growing atmosphere of introspection and meditation. The installation seeks to awaken individual consciences, encouraging the reflection on our current situation, and alerting to the fact that we all have an active and vital role in achieving profound future changes.
